Dr Docherty is a graduate of the University of Sydney Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of Dentistry, completing his studies with honours and a University Medal. He has engrossed himself in postgraduate education becoming alumni of the Fahl Cosmetic Academy, the Kois Academy, completing a two-year orthodontic mini-residency through EODO and the City of London Dental School and has completed a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry in Oral Implants at the University of Sydney.

Dr Docherty is passionate about mentoring and teaching and is an examiner of the postgraduate Oral Implant Diploma at the University of Sydney. He believes in a literature-based approach to dentistry and is an author of the soon-to-be-released Wiley-Blackwell textbook “Practical Procedures in Implant Dentistry”.
